Music
Music at St John with St Michael is fun and engaging, and that every child is a born musician. We believe that music is like magic and that it has a role to play in every aspect of all of our lives, wherever and whoever we are.
Each unit of work that children take part in, there is opportunity to revisit existing knowledge and skills and then build upon and extend them own learning incrementally. In this manner, children increasing musical confidence, while constantly being gently challenged to go further.
At the centre of each lesson - is a song around which the musical learning is centred. Children have the opportunity to listen, sing, perform, compose, improvise and discuss with peers and teachers.
