The PSHE co-ordinators are Mrs Camps and Mrs Driver.

At our school we are passionate about ensuring that all children take part in high quality PSHE sessions. PSHE is taught across everything that we teach but we also have a specific time allocated for PSHE every week. We use resources from the PSHE Association alongside our own resources to ensure we create lessons catered for the needs of the children in our school.

On this page you can see the topics taught across the school by downloading our curriculum overview.

Our PSHE policy and scheme of work have now been updated and all classes ensure it is an integral part of our teaching programme considering issues such as working together, keeping to rules and respecting each other.  All classes are taught aspects of these subjects within the different “themes” studied. The new 2019 statutory Health Education, Relationships and Sex Education Curriculum (RSE) has now been implemented in line with government requirements. Central to this curriculum is: developing pupils’ ability to believe that they can achieve goals, both academic and personal; to stick to tasks that will help them achieve those goals, even when the reward may be distant or uncertain; and to recover from knocks and challenging periods in their lives. This is complemented by development of personal attributes including kindness, integrity, generosity, and honesty.
